Well we live in interesting times. A number of our Aztem families have been displaced/ isolated/ locked-down/ relocated recently because of the COVID-19 outbreak – this has caused concern, changes in plans, and distress. Others have experienced ill-health including emergency surgery, are supporting elderly relatives, have been close to a shooting in a shopping centre, and seen the ravages of a locust plague in north east Africa.

We are trusting that through all the challenges our field associates and returned tentmakers are facing they will rely on God’s guidance and sustaining. I have been encouraged by Psalm 139:9-10; ‘If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, and your right hand will hold me fast.’  We can rely on passages such as this to entrust our Field Associates and members to God’s care.

We would value your prayers, for without the prayers of God’s people we are unable to press forward.

Practical matters have kept the Committee busy in recent months, including meeting new government requirements. Pray that as a network and fellowship we will be able to do our core business well, namely equipping and supporting others to witness in the global workplace.

With best wishes,

Ian Grant, General Director
